Erica Carrasco

Erica Carrasco

Erica, aka Achy Smile, is a migraine advocate from Midland, Texas, now living in Fayetteville, North Carolina. She helps her husband, Stephen, raise their two young adult children, Marissa and Noah, through a life with chronic pain and neurological symptoms.

Their daughter, who lives with chronic vestibular migraine, is a Freshman in college learning how to thrive with Erica just a phone call away. Noah, a Junior in high school, lives with episodic attacks of ocular migraine. In late January 2018, Erica shared the stage with prominent women in the health industry and talked about her life with migraine at BlogHer Health, an annual blogger conference for women. In early 2020, Erica joined over 200 advocates at Headache on the Hill, where she told her story to Members of Congress about what it's like living with hemiplegic migraine and not having access to doctors trained in headache medicine.

Achy Smile is a Partner of the American Migraine Foundation and the Association of Migraine Disorders, is the Director of Marketing for Chronic Migraine Awareness, Inc., and designs migraine awareness t-shirts and gifts for those with neurological disorders at Achy Smile Shop.
