Suraj Malhan, MD
Dr. Suraj Malhan is a fellowship-trained neurologist specializing in headache and facial pain. He will be starting a dedicated headache center in New Jersey, where he will provide personalized care for people with migraine and headache disorders.
Dr. Malhan is passionate about teaching, advocacy, and research in headache medicine. He has delivered lectures on headache diagnosis and management, contributed to nationally and internationally presented research on real-world treatment effectiveness and patient-reported outcomes, and was honored with the American Headache Society’s Frontiers in Headache Research Award. Clinically, he has a special interest in treating cervicogenic and neck-related headache disorders, with expertise in integrating osteopathic manipulative treatment as a supportive approach to care.
As the founder of MyHeadacheGuru, Dr. Malhan is committed to making expert headache care accessible to all. Through his online education platform and social media channels, he shares evidence-based resources to reduce stigma, encourage advocacy, and build a more informed, empowered community of patients and caregivers. His dedication to excellence has been recognized with honors including Pennsylvania Medical Society’s Top Physicians Under 40, reflecting his leadership and commitment to advancing neurological care.
As a Medical Advisory Board member for Miles for Migraine, Dr. Malhan is dedicated to supporting their mission to alleviate the headache specialist shortage, promote patient-centered care, and support empathy and resilience among patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers.
