Dana Ionel, D.O.
Dana Ionel is currently an assistant professor at the University of Kentucky and the Site Lead for the Lexington VA Headache Center of Excellence. She completed medical school at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, then completed a neurology residency at the University of Kentucky where she remained for fellowship. Her interest in headache medicine started with treating veteran patients with posttraumatic headaches and chronic migraine. Dana enjoys working together with patients to develop a treatment plan that will work best for them across all walks of life and looks forward to learning how she can better advocate for those who live with invisible illnesses.Â
