Our annual Arizona event for migraine is a fundraising event organized by our nonprofit to raise awareness and funds for those affected by migraine and headache disease. We have a professionally timed Phoenix 5K run and an untimed walk. Funds raised go towards supporting local migraine research, education for headache fellows (doctors getting specialty training in the field of headache medicine) as well as Miles for Migraine programming here in Arizona.

Frequently Asked Questions
The main difference between a virtual event and an in-person event in Arizona is that a virtual event can be completed from anywhere, while an in-person race requires participants to physically be at the event location on the event date. In a virtual event, participants can complete any form of intentional movement, at their own pace and on their own schedule, while an in-person race follows a set course and schedule. Virtual Participants have their event swag and finisher medal mailed to them for an added fee.
Registration for the in-person event is completely free and open to all. You can register for the Arizona event on this registration page. Simply select whether you'd like to participate in-person or virtually, the event you want to participate in (2 Mile Walk, 5K, or Relax), fill out the registration form, and submit your information.
All proceeds from the Arizona race for migraine go towards funding migraine research, education, and advocacy efforts. By participating in the race, you are helping to raise awareness of the impact of migraine and supporting the efforts to find better treatments and a cure for this debilitating condition.
All funds raised from the Arizona event are donated to Mayo Clinic Arizona, Lewis Headache Center and Barrow Neurological Institute at Phoenix Children's Hospital's Headache Fellowship programs to support training for providers in the field of headache medicine and to support local migraine & headache disease research right in Arizona. Funds are also used to support Miles for Migraine programming. By participating in the event, you are helping to raise awareness of the impact of migraine and supporting the efforts to find better treatments and a cure for this debilitating disease.
The prizes available for fundraising for the event in Arizona vary depending on the amount raised. You can find more information on our Fundraising page. The more you raise, the more you can earn, including things like a duffle bag, Yeti Rambler, Yeti Hopper or Apple Watch.
